Subtly Nuanced to Dramatically Bold: Formica’s 2024 Living Impressions Collection with a Touch of Modern Versatility

Formica Corporation has announced the launch of their 2024 Living Impressions Collection, which features a beautiful balance of luxury pattern and color.

This rich assortment of sophisticated surfaces is inspired by three growing design styles, resulting in seven elevated large-scale 180fx stone designs and six Formica Laminate patterns.

The Formica Corporation design team identified the following trends as the foundation for their new residential surface collection:

    • Modern Minimalism: Features warm whites and basic patterns that are subtle and gentle without losing their edge.
    • Casually Biophilic: Nature-inspired components that mimic the therapeutic properties of the outdoors for inside spaces.
    • Contemporary Classic: Traditional stone designs updated with a modern twist.

“We want homeowners to take immense pride in their homes and we believe trend-forward, high-design, beautiful surfaces should be accessible to everyone,” remarked Gerri Chmiel, Formica Corporation’s senior design manager. “Striking the right balance between material costs and design aesthetics is crucial, and the latest Living Impressions Collection provides durable, low-maintenance surfaces that empower homeowners and designers to achieve their desired look without compromising their budgets.”

New 180fx by Formica Group designs

Seven 180fx patterns add fresh sophistication and color blends to the innovative surface line, which features visually stunning true-to-scale designs.

Prosecco Quartzite – This warm quartzite stone pattern is sophisticated and attractive, with a blend of soft, sumptuous colors.

Fractured Marble – This cold white marble features dramatic veining in soft black and brown, adding architectural contrast, depth, and perspective.

Hazelnut Travertine – Multiple tones of beige, taupe, warm gray, and brown accentuate the timeless elegance of vein-cut travertine, which is enhanced with a SatinTouch smooth texture for a modern look.

Breccia Mojave – Black and gray basalt shards combine with soft terra cotta to form a striking breccia pattern inspired by the beauty of the desert.

Jatoba Brown – This typical jatoba color features vein bands in black and chocolate, as well as shades of red-brown, golden brown, and beige.

Jatoba Green – Light sage, yellow-green, and green-beige complement the harmonious waves of deep woodland and cool juniper.

Sahara Noir – Is a dramatic and one-of-a-kind marble pattern that combines clean terra cotta strokes with warm gray-white veining to create a highly graphic and sophisticated design.

    New Formica Laminate designs

The 2024 Living Impressions Collection includes six new Formica Laminate patterns with diverse influences, nuanced hues, and appealing textures.

Taj Mahal – One of the world’s most famous quartzites, Taj Mahal is polished and subtle, with a creamy warm stone pattern and rich veining of quartzite crystals. The addition of the Monolith texture provides a warm matte finish.

Patine Chalk – A pure white backdrop speckled with layers of cool gray creates a porous visual texture that is enhanced by Monolith’s warm handwriting.

Patine Stone – The surface is mottled with rich golden beige, cool gray, and natural green, much like moss or lichen on stone. The Monolith texture lends a rich quality to the pattern.

Foliage – Depicts the silhouette of natural leaves over a gently textured cool gray concrete background. Soft gray-green and beige leaves are sporadically distributed, providing a mild biophilic visual texture.

Bianco Antico – Is a delicate, warm white background with gray and golden-brown quartz crystal forms spread evenly throughout the pattern. Hints of black lend depth and drama to the pattern.

Luxe Mango – Previously available in the commercial range, this bright and lively woodgrain pattern is now available in the residential collection following a positive response from designers and widespread praise on its resimeric adaptability. The rich mid-tone brown color has sinuous golden beige and green-gray graining.
