Never Refinished, Always Restored: Renowned iQ Optima Collection Now Available in Refreshed Palette

Tarkett’s iQ vinyl sheet products promise to eliminate the requirement for floor finish.

Tarkett, a global leader in innovative and sustainable flooring solutions, has unveiled a new color palette for its popular iQ Optima collection of homogeneous vinyl flooring, which is scientifically engineered to maintain its beauty over time, improve indoor air quality, and simplify care and maintenance. The new palette has a classic travertine pattern in 31 neutrals and 24 hues.

“From every angle, Tarkett’s iQ Optima is a pretty smart choice,” said Paul Young, senior vice president of product innovation and design at Tarkett North America. “The new soft, tonal colorways support an overall sense of well-being, and the intelligent quality that gave iQ its name has delivered proven performance in the most demanding environments for more than 20 years.”

Tarkett’s iQ vinyl sheet products promise to eliminate the requirement for floor finish. A simple dry buffing restores the homogenous flooring to its natural appearance while maintaining the smooth surface required for maximum hygiene and resistance to chemicals and stains.

“With no floor finish required—ever—iQ flooring ensures your floor, your space and your people can maintain top performance,” according to Young.

In addition to lowering maintenance costs, this durability allows environmental services teams to work more efficiently and with fewer chemicals, making Tarkett’s iQ solutions an excellent choice for areas where people live, work, and heal. The collection is asthma and allergy friendly, which adds to the floor’s commitment to better indoor air quality. CERTIFIED, FloorScore certified, and devoid of orthophthalates, as are all Tarkett North America floors. The collection is also part of Tarkett’s ReStart program, which recycles and returns flooring.

Originally designed to suit the demands of acute healthcare facilities, iQ Optima is a highly durable choice for any environment. It can endure heavy machinery and rolling loads while also resisting scratches, scuffs, stains, chemicals, gouges, and splits. Because iQ surfaces are paired with weld rods that allow thermo-fuse heat welded joints, the collection adheres to infection control protocols. The very flexible material forms an integral cove base, minimizing cracks and crevices where bacteria can lurk.

From gentle corals and blues to brilliant yellows and greens, iQ Optima’s revised palette presents a travertine pattern in a wide range of colors to support the design of any space, including the pops of color required for effective wayfinding. iQ Optima also complements Tarkett’s iQ specialty product line, which includes iQ Optima Acoustic and iQ Granit SD, which provide high-performance flooring solutions for demanding spaces such as high-traffic entryways, electrostatic-sensitive areas, clean rooms, laboratories, and more. Johnsonite Color Foundations allows designers to effortlessly coordinate iQ products with Johnsonite wall bases, stair treads, and other finishing accessories. Color Foundations includes six neutral palettes that combine popular Johnsonite colors with hundreds of flooring selections from the Tarkett catalog.
