Tarkett, a global flooring company, has released a new carpet series called Preserved Treasures. Designed with life-plan communities in mind, the series boasts an upgraded design approach that will delight and perform for decades.
“Beautiful, durable, and easy to maintain, the Preserved Treasures collection delivers everything you want in flooring: elegance, endurance, comfort, and performance—all made with healthy materials,” said Paul Young, senior vice president, market segments, product, innovation, design, and sustainability, Tarkett Commercial.
The collection includes eight distinct patterns that elicit fond memories, four on carpet tile—Sacred Symbols, Worldly Essence, Sentimental Motif, and Shifted Transition—and four on Powerbond hybrid carpet—Shared Ritual, Time Abstraction, Nostalgic Blend, and Familiar Reflection.
Preserved Treasures is equally brilliant and stunning on carpet tiles and Powerbond, eliminating the need for facility owners to choose between performance and design aesthetics when selecting carpet flooring. For styles of Powerbond RS hybrid carpet, the world’s first soft-surface flooring. The collection is certified asthma and allergy friendly, which promotes healthy indoor air quality for persons with asthma, allergies, or other respiratory issues. Powerbond also has a welded wall-to-wall moisture barrier, making it suitable for areas with pets and service or emotional support animals.
The carpet tile patterns are based on Tarkett’s concept Modular with Omnicoat Technology. Engineered for high-traffic areas, non-PVC ethos carpet tile is a sustainable alternative created from up to 79% recycled content, is Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver, and the backing can be recycled back into itself. Its unique barrier keeps soil and moisture at the surface, allowing for simple cleaning and maintenance.
The entire collection is free of orthophthalates and may be safely recycled via Tarkett’s ReStart take-back and recycling program.
