Kohler Announces Heritage Colors

Kohler Co., founded in 1873 and celebrating its 150th year of design leadership, announces the Heritage Colors campaign, a year-long series of commemorative initiatives honoring an innovative movement within the Kohler design legacy and its introduction of vibrant, colorful products that began to great acclaim in 1927.

This acclaimed event ushered in a seismic shift in residential design, ushering turn-of-the-century America away from utilitarian white fixtures of the day and into color-infused bathrooms and kitchens, bringing warmth and individuality into every home and gracious living into everyday life.

Heritage Colors, which honors the company’s almost century-long color story, is represented by six curated tones hand-selected from the Kohler archives.

Heritage Colors consists of six classic colorways: Spring Green (1927-1944), Lavender (1927-1944), Peachblow (1934-1973), Sunrise (1953-1969), Avocado (1967-1979), and Pink Champagne (1973-1979). Although the palette is pulled from Kohler’s history, the colours remain impressively au currant.

The Heritage Colors voting campaign is currently underway, and customers can help choose two winning colours that will be included in an exclusive product line launching later this year.

Customers can vote for their favorite color at Kohler’s website. A significant social media presence on the Kohler Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn channels, as well as a sophisticated series of text and video material, is supporting the vote.

Kohler Heritage Colors toilets are now on display at The Kohler Experience Center at 6 W. New York City’s 22nd Street.

Kohler is also sponsoring two events in New York City, both of which will feature a ‘Heritage Colors’ pop-up truck beginning at 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26th, in front of the Kohler Experience Center at 6 W. 22nd Street, and on Friday, January 27, in Union Square, which is located at West 22nd Street between 6th Avenue and 5th Avenue.

The pop-up experience is available to the public and features exclusive Kohler Chocolates in the six Heritage Colors, espresso drinks topped with commemorative logo latte art, limited edition logoed T-shirts, and Kohler product prizes. People who attend the events can also vote for their favorite Heritage Colors hue via a QR code that is prominently displayed on the truck.

The two winning colors will be announced on February 1 at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show 2023 in Las Vegas in the Kohler booth.

Jonathan Adler and Justina Blakeney, award-winning multi-disciplinary designers, will be onsite as part of the special programming to announce the two colors that will be manufactured as limited editions in some of the company’s most iconic and best-selling designs and available for purchase beginning in Summer 2023.

The following Kohler products will be available exclusively in the two Heritage Colors signature shades:
