Leviton introduces Certolux’s three new sealed healthcare luminaire models.
These specification-grade downlights are intended for surgical suites, patient rooms, and behavioral health facilities, and each provides an upmarket, residential ambiance while maintaining lighting performance and patient safety.
Certolux’s MSD surgical downlights are meticulously designed to protect patients while providing excellent illumination. They feature an optional 97+ CRI to aid in the accurate evaluation of skin and tissue, as well as MILSTD 461G certification, which removes the risk of electromagnetic interference with surgical equipment.
MDD downlights are visually appealing and contribute to a cleaner atmosphere for patient rooms in hospitals. Their glare-free ambient lighting is both comfortable and functional, and healthcare-critical certifications keep pollutants from endangering patient results.
Finally, BDL downlights ensure patient safety in behavioral health centers. Certolux’s people-first design combines elegant appearance with the durability and strong construction of institutional fixtures, resulting in a balance of comfort and safety for both patients and personnel.
All are Ingress Protection (IP) rated, NSF2-certified, ISO3 cleanroom compliant, and IK10 impact rated. Additional features include:
- 4″ and 6″ diameter apertures
- Up to 5,000 lumens
- Diecast trims with antimicrobial finishes
- Optional 97+ CRI, R9>97 light engine
- Optional low voltage controllers
“Certolux’s new downlights demonstrate how safety, cleanliness and elegance combine to create superior healthcare lighting,” remarked Tim Stevens, Viscor’s Product Manager. “Certolux customers are already familiar with the superior quality and illuminance offered by our healthcare troffers. These downlights are designed to round out our healthcare lighting offerings and complete the facility.”
