Intense Lighting Announces Launch of New GX Adapt Luminaire

The GX Adapt is a versatile multi-head accent system that includes 1 to 4 strong 2″ aperture heads housed in a compact rectangular extrusion.

Intense Lighting, a Leviton business, introduced the GX Adapt luminaire, adding to its comprehensive portfolio of specification and commercial grade lighting solutions. The GX Adapt is a versatile multi-head accent system that includes 1 to 4 strong 2″ aperture heads housed in a compact rectangular extrusion. This elegant luminaire is available in both pendant and surface mount versions, making it adaptable to any situation.

“GX Adapt combines Intense Lighting’s architectural downlighting with our sister brand Birchwood Lighting’s precision cut extrusion to create a one-of-a-kind luminaire designed with the design community in mind,” said Adam Zepeda, senior director of brand management at Intense Lighting. “The superior adjustability and stylish design of the GX Adapt make it the perfect choice for offices, hospitality spaces and high-end retail environments.”

Despite its tiny 3.25″ square appearance, the feature-rich GX Adapt may be converted to a recessed or semi-recessed configuration in the field, as well as giving precision targeting with each head offering 30° of vertical tilt and 360° of horizontal rotation with no tools necessary.

“Intense downlights are known for being highly customizable,” according to Zepeda. “We created the GX Adapt because we wanted to extend these capabilities into a new type of luminaire that puts the power of customization back into the hands of the designers.”

Other significant characteristics include a wide optic range of 18° spot to 60° wide flood giving up to 800 lumens per head, an inbuilt driver option, deep dimming options as low as 0.1%, and field changeable accessories.
