Microdesk, a leading provider of BIM, VDC, and EAM services, announced today the integration of its BIMrx product line into Symetri’s Naviate at Autodesk University 2022 in New Orleans, LA, September 27 – 29, 2022.
The redesigned suite of tools will ease Revit project setup, model management, and documentation, allowing customers to move projects faster with Core, MEP, Fabrication, and Cloud Manager applications.
Attendees at Autodesk University can try out the upgraded Naviate at the co-branded Microdesk and Symetri booths 114 and 120.
Symetri, a member of the Addnode Group and an Autodesk Platinum Partner in Europe, bought Microdesk in March 2022.
By combining their efforts, the firms have become the world’s leading Autodesk solution provider, with improved service and R&D capacity that provides greater value to customers by allowing more efficient and sustainable workflows.
Microdesk and Symetri have over 750 consultants working across 35 offices in seven countries, supporting over 20,000 customers and 250,000 daily users in the United States and Europe.
This iteration of Naviate is more specialized to fulfill the broad needs of customers for core acceleration, architecture, structure, MEP, site and landscape, fabrication, rebar, land use, daylight, and cloud management services.
Naviate is interoperable with leading Autodesk products such as Revit, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Civil 3D, and it offers a single team for license management.
“We are excited to announce the integration of BIMrx into the Naviate product suite during Autodesk University, where experts from the AEC sector come to learn about the newest software, technology, and product developments,” said Michael DeLacey, Microdesk’s Chief Executive Officer.
“The union of these important functions ultimately provides AEC professionals with a purpose-built solution that streamlines and enhances workflows throughout the entire BIM project lifecycle and expands capabilities to create leading-edge buildings and infrastructure, supporting our strategy to become a global market leader within the industry.”
“This is just the first expansion phase for Naviate, which already includes built-in standards and is preconfigured to enhance BIM workflows,” said Jens Kollserud, CEO of Symetri.
“It reflects our dedication to assisting our customers in working smarter and gaining a competitive advantage. The longer-term goal of integrating all of BIMrx’s Core capabilities into our entire Naviate Accelerate Product will help us create additional value as we serve our global customers in their endeavor to solve globalization, urbanization, and sustainability concerns.”
On Wednesday, September 28 at 1:30 PM CDT, representatives of the Microdesk and Symetri teams will demonstrate Naviate’s extended capabilities at Autodesk University’s “Work Smarter: See how BIMrx and Naviate streamline AEC firm’s Revit workflows” session.
