Hilti North America, a global leader in innovative equipment, technology, software, and services for the commercial construction sector, announces the PLT 400, a digital layout tool designed to increase the productivity of worksite layout workers.
With ongoing labor shortages and worksite constraints, single operator tools like as the PLT 400 are critical. PLT tool technology from Hilti enables layout to be accomplished more quickly, efficiently, and correctly. This tool also improves accuracy, layout speed, advanced prism tracking, auto calibration, and requires little to no training to use. Improved technology, fewer labor hours, and faster layout all contribute to a cost-saving and productivity-boosting solution for job sites.
The PLT 400 can lay out digital BIM (Building Information Modeling) plans without the requirement for time-consuming point creation on the drawings. It may also be used to maintain your BIM model up to date during the construction phase, contributing to a highly efficient end-to-end workflow. Also compatible with Revit, AutoCAD, and other professional layout platforms is Hilti’s digital construction software.
“We took customer feedback on our previous total stations and addressed those pain points with the launch of the PLT 400,” Michael Haugtvedt, Product Manager for Measuring, explained. “This camera-based tool has enhanced prism tracking and upgraded communications making sure you stay connected and increase layout productivity on the jobsite, while a built-in calibration module helps ensure your layout is within spec every time you turn the tool on.”
The planning tool works in tandem with Hilti’s entire ecosystem of products, including ON! Track and Fleet is a tracking and fleet management program. Besides from having high-performance tools and cutting-edge technology at their disposal, Fleet clients also receive free verification of tool accuracy in compliance with manufacturer standards, as well as theft coverage to prevent financial risk and unexpected expenses.
The PLT 400 comes with an industry-leading Tool Warranty* and will be available later this month in the United States and Canada. Contact Hilti Customer Support for further details.
