The Maxell M.A.P. System was designed to give a one-of-a-kind solution for sealing any protrusion that enters a structure, such as a pipe, vent, or wire.
The new Maxell M.A.P. System Pipe and Wall Sealer, developed and manufactured in Japan, is Maxell’s first construction-grade solution that uses a high-performance, pressure-sensitive, butyl-based adhesive to deliver an airtight and watertight seal.
The Maxell M.A.P. System was designed to give a one-of-a-kind solution for sealing any protrusion that enters a structure, such as a pipe, vent, or wire. The M.A.P. System uses a rubber membrane with a butyl-backed adhesive to provide maximum protection against air, water, and moisture penetration. The release paper is divided into two sections, making installation easier.
The Maxell M.A.P. System Pipe and Wall Sealer meets AAMA711-13 specifications and can be used on plywood, vinyl, OSB, and Dens Glass Gold™.
“The Maxell M.A.P. System eliminates the need for less effective and time-consuming sealing methods such as spray foam, roll tape, and bits of insulation inserted to fill the area at the point of pipe penetration. Maxell’s M.A.P. System was created to save time and money while also giving the security of a leak-proof seal,” says Chikashi Tanaka of Maxell.
The Maxell M.A.P. System Pipe and Wall Sealer comes in seven different sizes, making it suitable for a variety of applications, including:
- Dryer vent pipes
- Exterior roof and wall plumbing
- Water and Gas Lines
- Cable and electrical wiring.
