Solar is now a significant investment choice due to expanded tax credits from recent legislation, as well as attractive policies from local utility companies.
This value offer has resulted in increased acceptance throughout Iowa, as well as national enterprises relocating to the state, leaving an ever-shrinking list of local solar companies. True Solar intends to address this issue.
“We have one mission, to serve our customers well. In order to do that, we’re going to stay small, and stay local. That’s what Iowans want. And thus far, the response has been overwhelming,” says CEO Travis Eichelberger.
While the company is new, the crew is far from it. True Solar has over 10,000 home installations in its collective experience, with no team member having less than two years of expertise in what is still a relatively new business.
That insight will be useful when competing against national firms with extensive corporate experience but little local personnel expertise.
True Solar was founded by a group of people who previously worked for many other solar companies in Iowa. During this period, the founding members realized they could do things differently and better.
“Rather than chasing growth goals or revenue targets, we’re going to grade our success based on the customer experience. That’s the only way to do it,” According to John Lenz, a True Solar Solar Consultant.
