CAMO Launches New Code-Compliant Structural Screws

National Nail’s CAMO brand, which is known for providing innovative equipment and fasteners for deck builders, takes product innovation to a new level with a new line of high-performance structural screws.

CAMO Structural Screw uses include deck substructure, internal framing, ledger, and general construction. CAMO Structural Screw is IRC/IBC code compliance and carefully third-party tested and certified by DrJ Engineering.

“The CAMO team is excited to unveil CAMO Structural Screws, the next generation of structural fasteners to help builders with the deck structure and beyond,” National Nail’s Vice President of Product Development, Doug Hutchings, stated. “The new screws offer builders excellent holding power and stronger connections.”

CAMO screw designs are engineered to start fast without pre-drilling, drive smooth, and hold firm, resulting in the best structural fastener available. All structural screws are coated with CAMO’s patented PROTECH ULTRA 4 coating, a four-layer solution that provides industry-leading corrosion resistance and has been tested to last twice as long as industry norms. The Ledger, Multi-ply, and Truss screws also double as fasteners, needing fewer fasteners per job and requiring fewer SKUs for dealers. Unlike most structural screws, CAMO structural screws can be utilized both inside and outside.

The CAMO Structural Screw product range includes the following items:

    CAMO Truss Screws

CAMO’s new six-inch Truss Screws make connections easier, faster, and better for contractors. They are used in place of hurricane ties for ordinary interior construction and outside decking. The accompanying hands-free Truss Guide ensures that contractors fasten at the correct angle every time. The CAMO Truss screw is superior to most structural screws in that it may be utilized in both interior and exterior beam-to-joist connections.

    CAMO Multi-Ply Screws

CAMO Multi-Ply Screws are available in a variety of lengths for both sawn and structural composite lumber beams, and they replace through-bolts and nails for faster, stronger, and more secure connections. Three screws serve as Ledger Screws as well.

    CAMO Ledger Screws

New CAMO Ledger Screws, available in a variety of lengths, are a faster and less expensive solution to install ledger boards. Because the screw’s flat head is flush with the material, it does not interfere with joist hangers or other materials. These screws are also suitable for multi-ply applications.

    Framing Screws

Framing Screws (2 1/2 and 3-inch) are intended for wood-to-wood framing connections, deck blocking, and interior/exterior general building applications.

    CAMO’s Multi-Purpose Screws

CAMO Multi-Purpose Screws come in Flat and Hex heads and are used to replace lag bolts and through bolts in framing. They are also available in hot-dip galvanized choices for coastal applications, in addition to CAMO’s PROTECH ULTRA 4 Coating.

When fitted according to CAMO specifications, new CAMO Structural Screws come with a lifetime warranty. More information on CAMO Structural Screws.
