Hilti North America, a global leader in innovative tools, technology, software, and services for the commercial construction industry, will introduce new cordless tools on the 22V Nuron battery platform to expand its portfolio and provide more value through its subscription tool service, Fleet Management.
Hilti’s latest cordless advancements, which will be demonstrated at World of Concrete, will expand its wood-cutting range, among other things. The SC 6WP-22 Plunge saw, available in spring 2024, is intended for more precise cutting in wood, fiber board, drywall, and solid surfaces, including straight and bevel cuts, as well as elaborate cut-outs. The SC 6WP-22 plunge saw is compatible with Hilti’s 55″ track and other tracks on the market. Its design prioritizes cutting speed and dust collecting efficiency, making it a safer and more productive solution.
The SM 60-22 miter saw, which will be available in the fall of 2024, is a compound 12″ miter saw designed for precision cutting in wood, PVC, and aluminum. It can be purchased with Hilti’s new miter saw table and is also compatible with standard miter saw tables. It has easily accessible controls across the entire saw and a dark shadow cut line to help ensure cuts can be done quickly and accurately. It has all-in-one front handle controls and a small footprint without
Furthermore, the company is releasing other highly anticipated tools, including:
- The EXO-T-22 Tool Balancer is a wearable, backpack-like device that allows workers to undertake wall breaking with less physical effort. Ergonomically engineered and developed for heavy demolition work, the Nuron-powered EXO-T-22 supports a tool weighing up to 37 pounds and suspends it in a zero gravity state, spreading the weight to the hips and the ground, decreasing strain on the upper body.
- The DGH 130-22 Concrete Finishing Grinder, which will be available soon, is designed to need less effort to polish and grind concrete surfaces. The DGH 130-22, with its variable speed brushless 5″ grinder, is designed to make concrete wall finishing and chamfering faster and more productive—removing up to two times more material per charge. The integrated dust shroud and unique palm style operation contribute to more accurate and effortless movement while grinding. Additionally, the tool has a sensor that automatically turns off the tool if it is dropped accidentally.
- The SIW 10-22 3/4″ High Torque impact wrench, powered by Nuron batteries, has a high-efficiency brushless motor and impact mechanism that delivers 85% more torque than its predecessor while being more compact. It can be used to bolt steel, connect large flanges, or install large diameter anchors into hard concrete.
- The TE 50-22 Combi hammer with Active Vibration Reduction (AVR) and Active Torque Control (ATC) offers users longer runtimes, improved safety and comfort, and increased versatility on the jobsite. When used with Hilti’s TE-YX drill bits, customers can expect up to 30% faster drilling speeds. The TE 50-22 delivers best-in-class performance while weighing in at just over 12 pounds.
- The SF 10W-22 Drill Driver adds the power of a corded drill to Hilti’s compact and power class drill lineup. The SF 10W-22 has four gears and can handle hard applications like as drilling deep or big diameter holes in wood and metal. In addition to superior performance, the SF 10W-22 provides increased run duration and improved user safety with ATC.
The Nuron platform can handle a wide range of tasks while providing superior performance and runtime compared to corded, gas-powered, or higher voltage battery systems. Nuron ultimately helps minimize complexity for tool cribs by integrating all batteries and chargers into a single ecosystem. With Hilti’s all-inclusive Tool Fleet Management program and expanding cordless tool lineup, optimizing tool cribs while maintaining fixed monthly expenses has never been easier.
“Our sole focus has always been to bring highly innovative solutions to the construction industry. These solutions are designed to increase productivity and improve worker safety,” remarked Mike McGowan, Region Head and CEO of Hilti North America. “Our newest solutions are just another step in helping make construction better.”
With these launches, Hilti customers will benefit from increased Nuron portfolio coverage across a wide range of applications and trades. From innovative solutions to services that ease construction management to tools, accessories, software, and technology that assist customers in performing their work faster, safer, and more efficiently, employing the full Hilti system enhances customers’ overall work package.
